Loved the V&A fabric

Back in March to July 2010 the V&A in London had a fantastic exhibition called Quilts 1700-2010, there was an amazing display of work from all over the UK. It showed the tremendous design and craftsmanship that went into the making of these quilts. From this the V&A shop, in conjunction with Liberty Fabrics, produced a collection of limted edition fabrics featuring designs from the quilts in the exhibition.

As a fabric addict I had to get my hands on  selection of these fabrics and gorgeous they were and there were also precut packs with a sample of each of the fabrics. Of course there was nothing else to do but I had  to make a simple hand made quilt and produced this over a weekend, all hand stiched and quilted and I loved every minute of it. The quilt was also loved by other people so it now has a new home somewhere in Brazil !!.

Some of the fabrics are still available at the shop but for how long I have no idea so quick grab them while you can and add then to your fabric stash.
