The collective necklace

This is really special necklace that I made this week as birthday present for a friend, the collection of beads and stones are all vintage peices of pearls, glass beads and  rhinestones that I have collected , they are mounted on metal backings and then attached a to a long rose pink velevet ribbon.

The necklace has been mounted onto a vintage postacard, this still has the original writing and stamp on the back.

Week 2 Vintage Jewellery box find

This weeks project was the result of finding an Art Deco shoe buckle that had lost a couple of stones and its clip, it was just a looking for a new home so it has been turned into a brooch.
The heart was made from grey felt, padded out with toy stuffing and edged with cream overstitching, the buckle is mounted onto vintage lace, then stitched to the heart.

The backing card is a vintage postcard with its original stamp and message
